ON NEUTRAL GROUND
I often find unisex brands can err on the side of dull. They have to be so neutral in order to appeal to both men and women, which can sometimes spell bland. But sometimes you get a unisex brand who understands that it’s OK to encourage your customers to take more chances: ask your male customers to be more bold and ask your female customers to be confident that they’ll still look feminine in a masculine cut.
Einfühlung is a one such label. They are an eco-conscious brand designed in Luxembourg by Flavia Carbonetti and made in Italy. The brand creates seasonal collections designed to be gender neutral and based on the Circular Economy. Every piece is crafted using modern and eco-conscious fabrics.
The shapes are simple but with enough little quirks and details to not feel bland. Playful plaids, cheery yellow and bold stripes result in a collection that, whilst simple in silhouette, is confident enough to not rely on a colour neutral palette to spell out gender neutrality.
