all that glitters...

I feel like it’s been ages since the last H&M collaboration.

However it’s entirely possible they have come and gone without even registering on my radar. However this one is so bright and bling that you can see it coming from space.

Here comes H&M x Moschino

It will be in stores and online on Nov. 8, the companies have revealed their campaign photographed by Steven Meisel.

Styled by Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, the campaign features models Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Rianne Von Rompaey, Stella Maxwell, Soo Joo Park, Imaan Hammam, Yasmin Wijnaldum, Oumie, Valentina Sampaio and Leyna Bloom. The campaign is called Moschino [tv] H&M

Jeremy Scott, creative director of Moschino, who is collaborating with H&M, revealed their collaboration last April at Moschino and Scott’s annual Coachella party. Gigi Hadid is the star of the new H&M x Moschino ad campaign, marking the first unveiling of the collection. Steven Meisel shot the photos which are said to be inspired by a "1950 haute couture show". Although except for the gold show chairs, I’m not getting that reference at all.

Hadid is seen in a bodycon leather-look mini dress with a gold exposed zip and buckle detailing. The dress is styled with thigh-high boots festooned with gold branded hardware, and a gold boxy bag featuring the Moschino logo. Jewellery features strongly - think a statement logo choker, a chunky chain bracelet and oversized gold hoops. The high street company released two pictures - the second of which is a group shot where the models wear a mix of shimmering, attention-grabbing pieces, from gold metallic biker jackets and matching trousers to a silver sequinned hooded mini dress. Branded Moschino headbands and fringed baseball caps make for unexpected accessories, as does a bag made to look like a padlock. The peace symbol is also a reoccurring motif, and comes via earrings, bags and as embellishment on black trousers. These are not clothes for wallflowers.

Those instagram crazy kids are going to eat this up.

The collaboration is expected to revive certain archival pieces from Scott’s own collections, as well as those of the label’s founder, Franco Moschino. With an emphasis on playfulness and humor, the collaboration also comprises a full range of accessories.

I’ll take one of the chairs please and leave the clothes.
