will i ever wear it?

Take a look at this wonderful metallic striped dress from asos

I've been looking at it for about three weeks and it has been in and out my basket countless times. The only thing that is stopping me is the question how often will I wear it?

I already know the answer, probably only one or twice over Christmas and the New Year.

Dull and dreary though it may sound, the older I get, the more I expect clothes to do the business for me on the old cost per wear front.  £60 per wear just doesn't cut it any more.

That's the reason I have one whole wardrobe just filled with black all saints dresses. They never fail me. Although I have to say I looked at myself in the mirror last week and I am in severe danger of boring my own arse off!

Spree buys are fun but when funds are tight, it just seems silly. Plenty of us fall foul of the impulse which is why sites like Vestaire and Hardly Ever Worn It are doing roaring business.

It's a while since I've had a prowl around HEWI.

Oh my goodness, it is filled with treats. If you are thinking about what to ask for from Santa, I would seriously check here first. There may be something you didn't even know you wanted at a price you can finally afford. Get prowling.

Now I just need to decide about this dammed striped dress before it sells out...
