you make my heart sing...

Oh Marimekko , how you make my heart sing.

You never fail to make me smile.

Life would somehow be more joyful and filled with hope, if I skipped around clad from head to toe in marimekko goodness.

You have no idea how hard it was for me just to pick some looks from SS16 to show you. Truth to tell, if I thought I could get away with it, I would be posting all 40 looks!

Last week, for the first time, Marimekko presented a collection at Paris Fashion Week. Although Marimekko has been making garments alongside their textiles, linens and homewares since 1951, it looks like they are ready to put more focus on their clothing which make me one very happy Queen.

Set in the Palais de Tokyo, Anna Teurnell presented her first collection as the Creative Director of the Finnish design house. Continuing the colour and print focus of the brand, the clothes were simple in cut while the prints were graphic, colourful and would surely make the most surly person smile. As children of the 70's when our Frances and I see the combination of brown and orange we find ourselves unable to resist and the soft florals in bright orange, pink and yellow had that perfect air of 70s to them.

I want to wear those long dresses now!
