Wearable Art

We all seem to have art on our minds in the Kingdom. Which is no bad thing of course. I’m not painting anything at the moment but I have become rather intrigued with art on clothing. It’s not my first time exploring the concept and have featured lots of designers over the years which use art on clothing, but I recently came across Aussie label The Innovators who showed at MBFW last year and I can’t stop looking at their pieces featuring life drawings and illustrations.

Calling your brand The Innovators is certainly confident however, for me, their 94 piece Resort collection did feel very fashion school graduate in a lot of places, but there were some standouts, aside for the art inspired pieces. Whilst overall the collection, again in my opinion, lacked any real direction but nonetheless some of it was truly breathtaking.
