Saintly

Part of the photoshoot Enya and I did last week, we also shot my long white dress quickly, just for the purposes of a film she shot a few months ago at the castle where I was wearing the dress. She needed a few stills to add to the film and while we were there we did a few extra to capture the drama of this glorious dress.

It’s not really possible wear at the moment as it’s rained non stop for weeks, and this dress has a long train which, though beautiful, would easily soak up all the filth for the street, so it was nice to get a chance to wear the dress again.

I loved how these shots came out. On one hand, the whole look is dark and menacing, like the girl who crawls out of the well in The Ring, but on the other hand there is an ecclesiastical feel to the dress, giving it a nun-like quality which I always always love. In fact, the whole reason I bought the dress was because it reminded of the novice nun, Sister Irene, in the The Nun. Of course, I couldn’t help have fun with that aspect of the dress, in the first image!
