Please Don't Take My Man

It’s technically a holiday here in Scotland and good lord I need it so I’m kinda taking today off and leaving you with this short and sweet post.

The latest Ann D SS20 collection has left me in a monochrome daze. The collection was apparently inspired by the femme fatale in the song Jolene by Dolly Parton. The husband stealing femme Parton writes about would be a monochrome, fishnet, PVC clad Amazonian, according to Sébastien Meunier. I have totally no problems with that at all.

The Demeulemeester aesthetic is present and correct, in fact the collection felt it as if Meunier had delved deep into the Demeulemeester archives and reinvigorated the silhouettes we all know and love the label for.

And of course my outfit today was heavily inspired by this collection.

I have pretty much a wardrobe full of very similar pieces so there was no way I wasn’t going to create a similar look. But you already knew that.

I’m tired and I’m going to spend my Monday lying down and watching movies in these shiny PVC pants.
