A Little Naughty On A Friday

I recently received an email about the Kickstarter campaign for designer Melissa Tofton and her couture leather accessories.  Her erotic inspired creations aim to fuse her genuine passion for luxury erotic tools with her eye for contemporary fashion design.

She explains;

“I strongly believe that sexuality is core to our existence, and how we express ourselves - and if we can enrich our own self identity by wearing something that empowers us, it can make a huge difference to the way in which we perform, how our body can move and how we therefore feel. ”

The Kickstarter is intended to raise funds for the launch of her SS16 collection “Eros Omnipresent”. The funds will pay for a photo shoot, printing and publishing of a coffee table book, which will be followed by a launch event during London Fashion Week and finally a sales showroom during Paris Fashion Week.  

Every piece is hand forged from scratch in her Studio in North London, using locally sourced Raw Vegetable tanned leather. She is also focused very strongly on ethical manufacturing and ethical sourcing - all of her leather is hand selected from a tannery which she works with regularly.

“The true feeling of luxury comes from the feeling that a product gives you; if an accessory is made to the highest standard it shines through not only in it’s appearance, but mainly in its potential to be used as a tool. This is so important to me and my collection; ”
