Knit wit...
In our usual contrarian fashion, today on the hottest day this country has ever seen, I’m going to share some knitwear with you. Hahaha.
I love the look of a good chunky hand knits. Iconic Melbourne label OBUS & diy darlings CARDIGANG have woven their signature styles together to create a colourful collection of bespoke knit kits.
Designed to compliment Obus’ Spring range, the five-piece collaboration is made from 100% Australian Merino in key colours for the season, and offers something for every experience level. I know I don’t need to say it but regardless of how simple they make it, there is no chance of me being able to do it. But I know there are lots of clever creative people out there out there who can.
Building on CARDIGANG’s most adored silhouettes, OBUS founder and creative director Kylie wanted the collaboration to feel modern with a hint of nostalgia.
The collection is made up of two sporty striped vests, a Neapolitan inspired cardigan and outfit topping beanies that all work with the labels covetable prints.
Geared towards beginner knitters (much of team OBUS), the collection was created to introduce Obus Lovers to the craft and offer CARDIGANG’s growing customer base something special to add to their collection.
To celebrate the collaboration, Cat and Morgan of CARDIGANG will be hosting a Knitting Club Night at OBUS’ Northcote Store. A limited number of places will be open to purchasers of the collection to help beginners get started and pros the chance to connect with each other.
The Limited Edition Collection goes live to the public at 8pm Thursday July 21st via the Obus website
Okay I am off to sit in front of a fan again, I’m overheating just looking at all this wool.
