My love of Saint Laurent’s menswear is endless.
It’s no secret that I love good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll style and for me Saint Laurent capture that every season. But of course, it’s out of the reach of most people however there is a British menswear brand that has been inspired by the rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic too and made it far more affordable.
Phix Clothing is a Manchester-based label, who creates beautiful tailoring, plenty of velvet, and unapologetic glam-inspired prints, glitter and sequins. With more than a passing nod to rock ‘n’ roll subcultures loved by Saint Laurent too, it makes rock ‘n’ roll style more accessible.
I’m completely obsessed. I have the ‘Bolan’ shirt which is black velvet printed with glittery silver stars and have the blue velvet western shirt en route. However I really have my eye on their velvet biker jackets. The red star and leopard print ones are seriously calling my name. The XS size in their shirts fit me perfectly so I’m thinking the same size in their biker jacket might also be perfect.
