Linen Scoop

The humble white shirt.

I really a not a big fan of the basic white shirt. I do own white shirts but I wouldn’t call them basic exactly. I like mine to have some aspect that makes them elevated, whether thats ruffles, or asymmetric hems perhaps, some detail that moves it away from just being a plain white shirt.

Then, whilst making my usual weekend pilgrimage to Big Tesco, out of the corner of my eye I spotted a perfect white, linen shirt.

Linen. Now we’re talking.

I immediately heading into its gravitational pull and was glad I did - at merely £18 this was one buy I could not pass up. It’s simple but the crumpled linen and perfect fit really makes this shirt look and feel far more expensive than it was. Natirally it had to be paired with leather and a western belt because white shirts will forever be associated with Ian Astbury from The Cult.
