WE DON'T RIDE
It's been ages since I felt inspired to create a new Blogitorial. I haven't really had any interesting concepts for styling but then the other week one came to me. So this one is a mixture of the many elements of the Old West with more than a passing nod to Jamie Gertz' character, Star, in the Lost Boys.
I've talked before about my love of Star. She was my biggest style crush in the 80's. I thought she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. Her hippy, romantic wardrobe ignited in me a lifelong love affair with Broderie Anglaise. I spent pretty much the rest of my teens and 20's in white broderie anglaise bustiers and tops because of her.
It isn't a look I've explored that much in my 30's and 40's though but recently I felt it's siren call once more and decided to see if I could make the look work for me again.
I saw the most perfect bustier from Revolve and I had to have it. It was crying out to be paired with a vintage fan-lacer corset, horse print skirt and heavy black eyes V 2.0 for the latest Blogitorial.
