MONOCHROME DOESN'T MEAN MONOTONOUS

Photography: Prince B, Styling; Queen Michelle

If ever there was an ensemble that sums me up in a nutshell it'd surely be this one. Layered, textured and with voluminous detailing. It's a formula I use over and over, whether it's black, grey like this or patterned and colourful, the essential elements of texture, volume or something off scale and layering are always consistent.

Shooting this was also a perfect opportunity to break out the big guns - the Iris Van Herpen shoes. Honestly, I struggled to walk in these shoes since I'm so out of the way of wearing ridiculously high heels. I used to live and breath 6" wedges, but now I clump about in a more modest 4" heel these days, which I wear like other people wear flats, but these monster heels were a challenge. But sometimes the lack of mobility is totally worth it because just look at them. Could you imagine a more beautiful shoe? I look at them and just marvel at the detail.
