You never get a second chance...
It’s true what they say, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.
Especially in street style shots.
When someone mentions Japanese street style you automatically think Harajuku girls, the gothic Lolitas, cosplayers and dramatic ganguro girls.
But the wonderful Impression.com just ran a section on Tokyo Street style that makes you think of things in a whole new way.
These shots made my heart glad.
However what really captivated me were the shots of the young men.
There is something so unforced and effortlessly elegant about them, Even when things start to veer into a territory that is a little more costumey they are still a delight to the eyes.
Just stop for five minutes, go make yourself a tea or a coffee and just enjoy these.
Young people being young and expressing themselves.
If you should you wish to achieve the art teacher look in a blue smock, like in the first shot, then look no further than Kin at John Lewis where you can snap up this little cracker.
Everything in that range is to be applauded. It’s so well made. It just feels like clothing made with care, generosity and integrity and those things can be pretty lacking in life.
With the sad news about Debenhams this week, if you don’t want to live in an online world it really is time to get off our arses and start supporting our high streets before we have no high street left!!!
