Out With The New In With The Old
GIVING OLD FAVOURITES A NEW LEASE OF LIFE
Photography: Prince B, Styling; Queen Michelle
I'm sort of on a shopping ban. I might allow myself little tiny things, but no major purchases until autumn, when I will likely buy a winter coat. So it's back to old favourites like this All Saints jacket I featured in last week's outfit post. I really have fallen back in love with it. It's ticking all my current stylistic boxes, the way it did when I first bought it. Recently, in addition to how you've seen it styled up here, I've also been wearing it with leather trousers, Rick Owens boots and a shirt dress. Might show you that outfit one day too.
Everything in this outfit is old actually. The skirt was once a glorious dress which became too small so I got Dust to turn into a skirt and the top is yet another Jean Pierre Braganza dress - JP has pretty much kept me in clothing for the last 9 years!
All Saints jacket // Jean Pierre Braganza dress (worn as a top) // Topshop Unique dress (cut into a skirt) // Ann Demeulemeester shoes // & Other Stories bag // Suspender belt (unknown brand)
We also need to mention the leather suspender belt - another very old piece - which I've always worn as a belt. It just works really well to add an interesting element to an otherwise simple outfit.
