Cinderella Dress

With the blog going to be celebrating it's 11th birthday old soon (crazy, right?!), I have been looking back at the old blog with a massive smile on my face. I have specifically been looking back at old outfit posts and came across a few clothing gems which I still have but had long forgotten about. One such item is this raw hemmed, silk chiffon Topshop dress whch I last wore back in 2010. I call it my Cinderella dress as it looks like the rags she wore before the Fairy Godmother did her stuff. I dug it out and I was delighted to find it now fits me since the dress was miles too big for me back then (and by "delighted" I mean extremely annoyed as I cursed my ever expanding middle).

I have been wearing it over my embroidery anglais shirt and with my, also very old, All Saints leather harness. This black, white and nude palette is made a million times nicer with the pop of yellow in the form of my glorious Summer Sleight felt neckpiece.

Then the wind started to blow to ridiculous levels so I ended up wearing my hat too because wind and fringes do not make happy bedfellows.

The Details

Topshop dress & Shirt // Summer Sleight neckpiece // Jeffrey Campbell shoes // & Other Stories hat and bag // All Saints harness

I've been hankering after tassel earrings for an age now and after rummaging through a box of blog gifts from many years ago, I discovered this fabulous black tassel earring. I then remembered the brand only did them in singles, which is why I only have one, but one is better than none so I have been wearing this lone, little tassel earring. Maybe one day it'll find a suitable chum.
