OFF / BALANCE

I'm a sucker for off-centre details and these Jean Pierre Braganza liner trousers have a beautiful fold-over front. The humble black trouser is suddenly worth showing off. Tuck one side of your shirt in and go with the off-balance.
A white shirt/black trousers outfit can quite easily move you into Italian Waiter territory, so I added my Joshua Sanders sneakers for added slouch.
So no madam, I do not have your Cannelloni al ragù.

On a scale of 1-oh my god kill me now, how sick are you of seeing this DIY shirt? But as tired as you may be of seeing it, it does prove that sometimes the most useful pieces in your wardrobe are quite often the most unexpected. I'm not one of these people who subscribes to the idea that a basic white shirt is a wardrobe essential. My idea of essentials is actually inverted. For me, it's the pieces that have some extra special detail or something different about them, that can add oomph to a basic outfit - those are essentials. When a white shirt doesn't come with the extra special something, add it yourself. The fact that this essential is a white shirt is neither here nor there, it's the big sleeves that makes it an essential for me.
