Wednesday Goes To Convent School

Remember how I told you about my love of dresses with a contrasting white collar? Well the epitome of such dresses is US brand Deandri. It's an alternative label and one which I've always loved but because it's US based never ordered from because of customs. But I decided I deserved a new frock so I treated myself to the Roselle dress, customs be damned! (I need not have worried as there were no customs). It might not be Valentino but when you have a ruffled white collar, who cares?

The Perfect Fit

It's also the absolute perfect fit for me, which is so rare to find these days. I have a long torso, so dresses which are supposed to sit snug at the waist, usually sit closer to my ribcage and give the appearance of being a babydoll style. But Deandri seem to design with taller girls in mind so the waistband sits at my actual waist, even slightly below. Shorts sleeves are nearly always too tight for my upper arms but these are just right.

This outfit is what Wednesday Addams might wear if she went to convent school.

The Details

Cocoon Luxurywear cape; Deandri dress; Thrifted shirt; Marni shoes; & Other Stories bag; Quay sunglasses

The Harris Tweed Cocoon Luxury Wear cape has been a bit of lifer saver on dry, cold days as it really cuts out the wind. Tweed truly is a magnificent fabric for so many reasons.

I've not feel truly great in an outfit for quite a long time, but this Wednesday Adams meets Miss Marple scenario is bringing me plenty of happy feels.

And the random felled trees photos? That's just because I found the textures beautiful. It's hard to believe that only one week ago this very same place was covered in snow!
