Welcoming Bao Bao

I've finally concluded that, in daily life, I'm just always going to one of those people that has to carry two bags. It seems no matter what size of bag I carry, big or small, I always end up with a second one.

I've fought this curious phenomenon for as long as I can remember, but the time to fight is over. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, as the old adage goes.

So I decided that the secondary bag, which envariably ends up being either a scratchy jute bag from the supermarket or a free fabric tote which came with a random purchase, should be no less stylish or nice than my main bag. Armed with only one pre-requisite - the bag had to be a tote of some description - I began my search. It didn't take me long to decide. I settled on the Bao Bao Issey Miyake Prism tote which I've wanted for ages.

Matches now stock them in a mid-size, which was much more suitable for me as the large totes were just slightly too large, especially given I would still be carrying another bag (and, yes, you'd think a large bag would erradicate the requirement for a secondary one. You'd think).

It was a difficult choice between the mint and the neon yellow, but in the end I opted for yellow since it goes with both bright colours and pastels. And how lovely it matches my favourite Miista brogues.

It's even cooler in real life and, as expected, I've carried it nearly every day since I got it. It's the perfect size and shape plus it looks like a Rubik's Snake, which is only a good thing.
